As our Creative Director, you will differentiate PassiveLogic from the crowd, supporting the marketing team from strategic ideation to campaign execution. You will have a deep and holistic grasp of the world of digital media and communication, and a strong desire to share stories that focus on the intersection of technology and sustainability.
What you’ll do
Apply User-Centered Design Principles: Leverage expertise in user-centered design, content strategy, and branding to ensure that every design decision has a clear rationale and aligns with user needs.
Enhance Our Brand Across Digital Channels: Identify opportunities to optimize digital interactions, ensuring seamless and impactful experiences for users.
Conduct Research to Understand Audience Needs: Gain deep insights into audience pain points and experiences through research, interviews, and surveys, shaping strategies that address real user concerns.
Establish a Cohesive Visual Identity: Provide strategic direction for maintaining a consistent and compelling visual identity that strengthens brand recognition and credibility.
Stay Informed on Marketing Trends: Monitor and analyze current marketing trends to ensure brand strategies remain innovative and competitive.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with marketing, business development, UI/UX, and engineering teams to align branding efforts with overall business objectives.

You must have
- Proven experience:
- BS/BA in Design or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of industry experience in a well-established design/creative/brand strategist role
- A portfolio showcasing your best work on creative digital branding
- Strong experience with video, animation, copywriting, , and typography design across channels, devices, and media, including social media
- Expertise in using media design tools such as After Effects, Motion, Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Experience with 3D modeling tools and product rendering a bonus
- Experience with brand architecture, naming systems, and messaging frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills: You have the ability to interpret complex technological concepts into broadly comprehensible and engaging stories for a wide audience. You demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with reporting and analysis tools.
- Organized and strategic: You have a Strong ability to gather, interpret, and analyze data and current trends in the industry.
- Collaborative mindset: You are an extraordinary teammate with a collaborative written, verbal, and interpersonal communication style. You are open to participate in a feedback-based work process to guide improvements and drive growth.
- Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, eager to learn, iterate, and innovate.
- Problem solving: You own this role. When issues arise, be the empowered force that solves them, rolling-up.
You should have
- Market research experience: Previous experience performing market research to gather insights, analyze trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Human-centered design and sustainability interest: Interest in human-centered design, sustainability, impact, and green building, with an understanding of their influence on branding and user experience.
- Team collaboration with project management: Experience working in a team supported by project management, ensuring coordination and efficiency in executing creative and branding initiatives.
It’s helpful to have
- MacOS proficiency: Strong familiarity with MacOS, including its tools and workflows for design and content creation.
- SEO experience: Experience optimizing content for search engines, ensuring visibility and engagement through SEO best practices.
- Industry experience: Background in HVAC, building controls, graphic design for equipment manufacturers, or related industries, with an understanding of sector-specific branding needs.
- Startup experience: Previous experience working in a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving setting.
